When you think of Ina Garten, a lot of things come to mind: really good vanilla, ridiculously extravagant lunches, adorable husband Jeffrey and, of course, delicious and fancy home-cooked meals. She’s definitely a bit of a food purist and only uses the best of the best ingredients in all of her meals. So it’s probably safe to assume she wouldn’t be caught dead in a fast-food restaurant, right?
Well, hold onto your jars of really good vanilla, because this news may come as a shock. There is one fast food restaurant Ina Garten actually approves of: In-N-Out Burger. And honestly, can you blame her? There are very few things I wouldn’t do for an animal-style burger, and Garten feels the same way.

“I have to say, I don’t eat fast food at all, with one exception,” the chef told Today. “When we’re in California doing book tours, we always have to go to In-N-Out Burger.”
She didn’t disclose any details about how she likes her burger, but she strikes me as an animal-style kind of gal. I’d even be willing to go as far as to say she orders her fries animal-style too. Ina, if you’re reading this, please tweet me to confirm.
Ina’s favorite fast-food meal is also the preferred choice of another mega-star chef.
“I know it was Julia Child’s favorite too, so it’s OK,” Garten says.

If Garten and Child both agree that In-N-Out is an A-plus meal, I’ll certainly feel better about my life choices the next time I pull up to the In-N-Out drive-thru at 10 p.m.
