June has finally arrived, and after a long, gloomy winter, the first day of summer is in sight. (And you thought this day would never come!) This month puts Gemini front and center, and whether or not you’re the sign of the twins, June has a double-sided energy to it. This month, we spoke to LA-based astrologer, modern mystic and holistic life coach Natalia Benson for a sneak peek into what the stars have in store for you and your kids in June 2018.
“June has this lighthearted, fun energy, but it can also be an amazing time to take a look at the way that you think and take a look at your attitudes towards how you approach things and how this affects the dynamics of your relationships,” Benson tells SheKnows. “There’s a lot of sociable energy too, so it’s a good time to get together with other kids and other parents.”
Ahead, find out more about what the universe — and this fun and sunny month — has in store for parents in each sign.

Aries: March 21 – April 19
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows In fitting with the theme of examining our own attitudes and dynamics, Benson says this is the month for Aries to take a look at the way they nurture. Ask yourself if there are ways to spend a little bit more time at home with your kids this month or create a new dynamic within your home. "Maybe there are new activities you can try that will lead to more quality time or new healthy habits to incorporate into your parenting dynamic," Benson suggests.
Speaking of the home, June can be a great month to update, decorate or organize your space. "Root down in the home and find ways to make it cozier," Benson says. June is the perfect month to have some movie nights with your kids or a date night at home with your partner. "Really get into things that are cozy and nurturing," she advises. -
Taurus: April 20 – May 20
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows We have some good news for you, Taurus! Benson tells SheKnows that June is a really fun transit for this sign, and the month will be ruled by love, energy, creativity and romance. (What more could you ask for?)
"This transit also rules children, so this could be a good month to reassess quality time or play time," Benson says. She suggests embracing activities that have a fun dynamic with your kids — whether it's a trip to a theme park, a new vacation or anything where there's an element of joy infused.
"It's also about love, lust and enjoyment of the senses," Benson tells us. So make that emotional investment in the dynamic with your kids, but also seize the opportunity to make time for sensuality and what Benson calls "that fun first-date energy" with your partner.

Gemini: May 21 – June 21
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows "This transit can be about getting really present with your kids," Benson says. If things have been super-hectic lately and you haven't had as much one-on-one time with your children as you'd like, take some time to help them with a project — preferably one that's detail-oriented and allows you to connect and be present.
Geminis have a strong work ethic and take pride in the details, so Benson urges you to make sure you're striving to find the right balance among work, health and life. "If possible, get up a little earlier and get some form of movement or meditation in," she suggests. "Find something where you can really replenish your energy, especially if you're feeling overworked and exhausted."
Find that much-needed balance and renewed level of energy, and then "invest your time in some sort of project or other quality-time measure with your kids where you can really stay connected and be present," Benson advises.

Cancer: June 22 – July 22
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows June is a wonderful time for you to invest in your one-on-one relationships and making them equal. Sure, parent-child relationships aren't exactly known for their balance, but it's important to find that balance in your adult relationships (and, yes, this includes your relationship with your work).
"Cancers can often give a lot in their relationships — and give a lot in every dynamic," Benson says. Whether it's with your children, partner, friends, family members or job, you're no stranger to overextending yourself.
"This transit definitely prioritizes balance," Benson says. "Give yourself the consideration that you give everybody else, and you'll find balance in your interpersonal dynamics."

Leo: July 23 – Aug. 22
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows This month, you may find yourself dealing with a child who's either really anxious or simply needs a new activity to engage in as summer kicks off. Benson recommends trying yoga or meditation with your kids in June. "This transit also rules water, so it's the perfect month to spend time near the water with your kids, whether it's going to the lake, going to the ocean or going to the pool," she says.
Benson tells SheKnows that June is the right month to invest time in your own sexuality and the expression of your sensual nature. "If possible, take a trip out of town or get some powerful intimate one-to-one time," she says. "That can be very helpful for Leos who have been feeling exhausted and burned out."
Leo, you're known for keeping up a fast pace, and because you're ruled by the sun, you possess some inexhaustible energy. "With a transit like this, ask yourself to slow down and focus on sensuality, meditation, yoga and things like that," Benson says.
-
Virgo: Aug. 23 – Sept. 22
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows For Virgos, June is all about wisdom and the opportunity to learn about important things that you don't yet know much about. "This can be a wonderful activity with kids," Benson says. "It can involve going to a new class or just kind of getting out of the routine in some way, like trying a new book or a new tutor. Anything where you and your kids are learning in a new kind of way."
The transit can also rule travel, so there's no time like the present to plan something where there's an element of adventure. This can be done as a family, with your partner or even solo if you need some time to yourself. "Get out of town, get out of the routine and just refresh," Benson advises. "Virgos can get mentally inundated and easily tired, so it's important to get out of your routine and out of that hamster wheel and do something fun in terms of an adventure or a trip."

Libra: Sept. 23 – Oct. 22
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows Libras are known for their focus on productivity, and it will be necessary this month. "This transit rules work, productivity, and career," Benson tells SheKnows. Of course, kids don't have careers per se, but this is still a good time for you to focus on productivity with your kids, whether it's on homework or their other personal projects and endeavors. It can even involve tasks around the house. "If you've been lax with household chores, maybe it’s time to get into some sort of routine, and this month can be a good time to implement more structure," Benson says.
Because this transit rules career, June is the ideal time to set career goals, structure work and finances and focus on growth within your job. "This transit can also be met with a great energy around career," Benson says. This may come in the form of a raise or promotion, a renewed sense of purpose or bringing your A game to your career and your role as parent. "Whatever it may be, it has a very focused energy to it," Benson tells SheKnows.

Scorpio: Oct. 23 – Nov. 21
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows Your kids will be more imaginative than usual this month, so cultivate that spirit of thinking outside the box and looking at life in a new way. "This transit can totally have to do with teaching your kids to believe in their dreams, daydreams and their imaginations," Benson tells SheKnows.
This is a social month for you and your offspring, Scorpio. "It’s a great month to spend time with friends and make sure that social circles for both parents and kids are healthy and have a great dynamic to them," Benson says, noting that this transit rules community setting and friendship. Even if it's just going to a yoga class together, prioritize social time with other parent-child dream teams.
To continue cultivating your child's imagination, Benson suggests an outing to the theater or to a lecture — anything that will get a kid's imagination moving. And don't forget about your own imagination and dreams. "This could be a great time to attend a group or a social function that encourages you to take a look at your own dreams and ideas about what you want from your life," Benson says.

Sagittarius: Nov. 22 – Dec. 21
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows In June, your energy will be spiritual — especially when it comes to engaging with your kids. Meditate, get out into nature or try some sort of new unique activity. This is a spiritual transit, but Benson says it can have an energy that allows you to spend time meditating with your child and then letting them enjoy a special treat, like watching a movie at night. "A balance like that can bring a little bit of stressful energy out of the day in the parent-kid dynamic," Benson says.
For you, this transit rules alleviating stress. "Get some extra sleep if possible. Self-care is really important, and it can be challenging when you’re a parent and you’re wearing all these hats," Benson says. "But try to find little spaces and ways to infuse a bit of mellowness and meditative energy into your schedule." If you have precious little time to do this, she recommends downloading the Headspace app and doing a three-minute meditation before bed.

Capricorn: Dec 22. – Jan. 19
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows Benson tells SheKnows that June is a wonderful time to encourage originality and uniqueness for your kids. "This is definitely a transit that encourages kids' independence, leadership and doing things in their own unique way, dancing to their own unique drum," she says. "You can help them get into leadership roles or be more independent in some way."
This is also a month for Capricorn parents to take a look at some of their parental attitudes and accept that maybe they parent differently than other people — and that's more than OK. "This transit really rules innovation, leadership and doing things in a unique and individualized way," Benson says. -
Aquarius: Jan 20 – Feb. 18
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows Benson tells SheKnows that because this transit can rule money and productivity, it's the perfect opportunity to give your kids a lesson or two in finances. "That might sound kind of weird, but Aquarians are pretty forward-thinking and open to unique ways of doing things, and that can apply to their parenting," she explains. "So this could be having early conversations with kids about healthy attitudes towards money or good practices with money or how to balance their finances."
While you've got the topic of finances top of mind, it's a good month to take a look at your own relationship with money. It might be time to make that purchase you've been saving for or to buy something that will bring you pleasure in some capacity.
"June could also be a wonderful time to get productive on a personal project or get productive on something big at work," Benson says.

Pisces: Feb. 19 – March 20
Image Credit: Getty Images/Design: Mike Commins/SheKnows This is a sociable time for you, Pisces. Enjoy fun outings with your kids and quality time spent in a variety of social setting, whether it's going out for a delicious meal or enjoying different activities around your town or city. It's also a great time to talk to your kids. "Communication is encouraged in this transit," Benson says. "Find some amazing books you can read or stories you can tell, and look for new ways to relate to your kid through self-expression and creativity."
This lighthearted sociability extends to communication with the adults in your life. "If there's something you've needed to talk to your partner or boss or friend about, this can be an amazing time to do so," Benson tells SheKnows. Explain there's something you need to get off your chest and bring to the table, and then use it as an opportunity to improve communication or clear the air in some respect.
